Chief Administrative Officer

Brenda Formes serves as the Chief Administrative Officer and Global Head of HR at Soros Fund Management LLC, overseeing myriad responsibilities at the firm, including its human resources operations, talent acquisition, real estate projects, employee development, compensation and labor compliance, and even the security team. Brenda’s efforts help ensure a high-performing workforce by fostering an environment that supports employee growth and aligns with the firm’s strategic objectives.

Prior to joining Soros Fund Management in 2000, Brenda spent nearly eight years at Deutsche Bank (formerly Bankers Trust), where she advanced from an HR Generalist to Vice President in the global markets division. During her tenure, she gained significant expertise in shaping organizational culture, managing employee relations, driving talent strategies and ensuring regulatory compliance, all while fostering a high-performing environment.

Brenda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Albany. She serves as a board member of Spike’s K9 Fund, an organization dedicated to providing lifesaving equipment, medical assistance and training for working dogs and their handlers.
